    Hp-color 4700 blank and jams

    Hello friends,

    i have hp color 4700, when i try to print configuration page , first one come out blank and second one come out fold and jam at fuser unit, even i try to remove paper alots of time still the same, i been replace fuser, paper tray, transfer kit and formatter board it doesn't work, anyone help

    I suspect your laser (don't know what it's called on HP machines, but xerox usually calls them Raster Output Scanners.) Check if there's no obstruction in the path of light.

      I would check the path and clean the machine. As for the laser the part is RM1-1591-000CN laser scanner assembly. Sounds like there might be something blocking the laser or not opening the laser shutter. Hope this helps.

        It could be that the printer is trying to clear a jam, and it picks up more than one sheet. (pick up solenoid issue) What does the event log say? Try going in diagnostics and running sensor test and component test. Make sure sensors are good and that all motors/solenoids are working properly. 90% of all color laser issues are cleaning issues. Clean all the sensors. Make sure there is nothing in the path.

                I agree it is likely to be the paper feed asm, but it's so much fun replacing it, I suggest cleaning the sensors first. I prefer troubleshooting to throwing a likely part at it. Saves time sometimes.

                  yes, i replace paper feed unit, it takecare the problem, it not very hard, take toner cartridges out and remove 2 screws.
                  by the way anyone know how to fix paper feed unit, or i have to buy new one
