hp 6015dn display goes blank

i have customer with this printer a few weeks ago they called saying the display was blank and it would not print. the printer was unplugged when i got there, i plugged it in turned it on and it worked. today same problem, anybody seen this before...i gthinking a power supply? any ideas would be appreciated

so now that i have paid and got the manual from Paul i would ask if that would be the low voltage power supply?

Yes, ours were LVPS.

well just checked out power supply and it seems to be working i have 3.3, 5, 24 volts the door switches work. the display is lite but cannot read any info as well the machine will not except print jobs and cannot get in through ip.

Will it print an engine test?
I would maybe look at the DIMM on the formatter if your certain its not the P.S.
We've had them go bad as well.

today i had one of the other techs go over and remove the dimm same display is on but cant see any info and it does not print.....will look for the test print switch on tuesday when i am feeling better....but i am starting to feel that we are talking a formatter board?

The DIMM is cheaper and most likely the culprit.

FYIwent in today and did an engine test print ,worked. it did notice that there is no heatbeat led on dcc.or leds for network. so ordered a mem stick to try then a dcc kit will let you know the final results

thank you to all the problem was the dimm customer up and running...

the diim that fixed this problem was a non hp dimm. it was supplied by there IT person. customer is now getting a black line 1/4 inch thich on one side slimming down to nothing in paper feed direction only does it randomly. what is the problem.....
