    HP CP4525 and a HP CP3525 Imageing belt interchange

    I have a hp cp3525 under contract and found out the IBT belt is considered a part and its $$$$$....not good blah!!
    So I can get a belt for a HP CP4525 at a bargin price...will it work in the 3525...from the image I can see they look the same

    That would be too easy. This is HP were talking about.
    Differant part numbers.

    If it physically fits the reset fuse or what ever may be diffrerent. If you find out if they are interchangable let us know.

      I have to go for it...so hopefully its a extra plastic knob etc that can be removed so it will fit...I will let you know

        sooooooooo its done. I got the new 4525 assembly for $100.,, thats is another story, ...and after looking at it I found the only same pieces are the belt cleaner and belt. I took the old belt off its frame and removed the new one off of its frame and swapped. To get the belt off, after removing the tension springs, you have to snip off one of the pull it out of the printer handles so the belt can clear the frame. You also have to snip one of the handles on the assembly that it is being put on too.

        The 4525 frame, the drive assembly etc. are all different so you cant even do a quick mod.

        Sooo dont put one of these printers under contract for $275. parts and labour for a year, like we did, when the belt is considered a part and NOT a consumable!!!!
