    hp laser color printer

    hi to all hp guys,

i would like to ask for your advice about hp laser color printers. we bought many hp 4000 series b/w laser printers as per advise by the helpful techs here in my previous posts and these are great printers but we don't have any idea about hp laser color printers and haven't used one yet. we need hp laser color printers that is as durable and as reliable as the hp 4000 b/w series. somebody advised us to buy hp color 4650 and hp color 3800. though these are old models but are these models durable and reliable? what model/s can you recommend that you think is the best so far? your inputs will be highly appreciated and would be of big help. thank you.

The 4600 series is a pretty good machine. I would stay away from anything smaller that you are getting used. On the 4600, you can reset the message for the fuser and transfer belt in the menue, while on the newer 4700 you have to put those items in to reset the message. A common problem on a 4600 would be feeding extra sheets of paper, which can be cured by changing #2 paper cassette. Do not use refilled color cartridges in them as they fail quite a bit.

I like the Color LaserJet 4700; Even though you have to have a fuser and transfer unit to reset when it comes time to replace, these have been great for me in the field.
I have like 30 of them and the only thing I do is replace the fuser and the tranfer unit. We also use refurbished so you can save some money there.
Another big reason I like the 4700 is the refurbished toners have worked well while the 4600/4650's didnt. Havent found anyone who can get those right, but if your using OEM your good.
