[Misc] Groaning or rubbing noise froma cp3525 transfer belt

I have a cp3525 that nakes a rubbing or groanong noise that comes and goes. It seems more prevalent when the machine is calibrating. I have replaced the transfer belt assy and gutted the machine to check all the mechanical drive parts with no success. Any help or ideas apperciated.

    probably bushing out of position
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".

Did you remove toner cartridges 1 at a time? Thats what I would start with and rule out first.

DISABLE CARTRIDGE CHECK This item allows you to remove a print cartridge to help determine which
cartridge is the source of a problem.

Did you ever isolate your problem? I have one doing the same, and a squeak. Swapped trans-belt. Cartridges are not in contact and squeak continues.

I would remove the main motor and turn each unit gear by hand till I heard the noise.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
