HP laserjet displays "out of paper" but there is paper

hi,
i have a hp Color Laserjet CP2025 which dis plays an "out of paper" message although the tray is loaded with paper.
I can print a demo page and config report from the printer menu. but I can't get it to print any jobs which are sent to it over the network, just get told to load paper.

anyone have an idea what can be wrong here? i can't see it being hardware as th eprinter is able to print demo and config reports, it's just not taking any network jobs.

The print job is probably looking for a different size paper. have you tried looking at the document settings to identify what size the document actually is?

well, i tried the most basic of print jobs, a windows test page.
it should recognise that and print that. i'll try some other documents.

the printer has the trays configured to a4 which is what i'm using.

Is the print driver set to any specific size or is it just default? you might want to delete the driver and re-install it.

can you print directly with usb ?If you can then its like r3d343420 suggestion driver issue .
