    HP Designjet Z2100 Photo Wide Format Printer

    Had this model throw it's belt (for the carriage printer head) and in the process tear it. Ordered the belt and going to repair but I have never worked on this machine before. Any hints or tips?

          The part of the manual on a similar Z3100 is 47 pages to do a belt. Don't go without a manual.

              Get the book, it's not that hard. Just pay close attention. Check the carriage shaft for lube. I usually wipe it down and apply a thin
              coat of 3 & 1 oil. Clean or replace the idler pulley. Clean up any little pieces on the vacuum platen.
              You may have to do an adjustment or two.
              Read through the directions before you go, the books sometimes have links to other removal procedures needed to be done
              first. I usually write down the beginning page#, so I can keep track and go back to see the next step.

                  We got the printer back together after replacing the belt (we followed the manual as best we could) and now of course it is throwing a code (21.13). This is apparently the Primer and or Left Ink Supply Station. The "solution" according to the manual is just to reset the power. Will try and re-seat the Supply Station and connections but, anyone else ever had a similar problem?
