HP Color LJ 2840 Not Recognizing toner?

Got a call from a new customer with an HP Color LJ 2840 that indicates that all the toner cartridges are empty. I don't believe this is the case. I've never worked on one of these before but the cartridges seem pretty full to me. The magenta cartridge leaked all over the inside of the machine and I clenaed it up as best I could but I think a sensor somewhere might be covered in magenta toner and I'm not sure where it is or if there's more than one.

Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's strange, but HP has ALWAYS had a problem with magenta cartridges, going back to the 4500.

How would I go about checking if it's properly aligned?

Anyone have any other suggestions? Please?

If it wasn't a billable call I wouldn't mind just winging it and trying to fix it blind but I want to seem like I know what I'm doing and be able to tell the customer how long/how much it's going to cost to fix their machine.
