[Jamming] Parts compatibility between LaserJets 5000 and 5100

As some of you may have experienced lately, most of the LJ5000 parts are getting
hard to find or are no longer available. I'm dealing with one that is
intermittently jamming at the registration area. The printer has 1.3 million
pages on it and I found that the plastic ribbed guides that the paper passes
through just before the registration rollers are severely worn, including the
top of a sensor flag. I had a 5100 registration assembly (RG5-4916) with me, so
I installed it to see if it would help. It works but I know it's not the
complete fix. I need the Paper Feed Roller Assy (RG5-3522) and Paper Guide
    (RB2-1780).

Just last week, I had this same issue on a 5100 with 1.4 million pages and was
able to get all of the parts I needed - PF Roller Assy (RG5-7084) and Paper
Guide (RB2-1780) - directly from HP and under $40.

So the Paper Guide is the same part number, the 5100 Registration Asm works. Has
anyone ever tried putting a 5100 PF Roller Assembly in a 5000?

Re: Parts compatibility between LaserJets 5000 and 5100 **Update*

I took a chance and ordered the parts from HP Parts store and installed them inthe LJ5000. So all the 5100 parts mentioned above work in a 5000. Interestingly, the PF Roller Assembly I removed had dryrotted rollers that couldn't be seen until I removed the assembly.
