    [Error Code] 50.49 on HP LJ4350

    Hi all,
    looked on service manual but cannot find this error code.
    Swapped fuser but error still here.
    Any ideas?

      Did you install a new fuser or a fuser from another machine?

          I agree with Rick. A fuser may look like a 4350 but that doesnt mean its a 4350. Verify it. This error sometimes occurs when using a different voltage fuser as well.
          Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".

              I swapped two fuser on two machines, the first is a 4250 and the second is a 4350.
              The error code stays on the same laserjet, it doesn't swap with the fuser unit.
              In another laserjet 4350 i found the swing gears worn. It is a pain to access there...

                  Some times i have to let it reset by itself, leaving it off and unpluged for at least 30 min. before replacing the fuser unit.
                  Might want to check the DC controller board.

                      Well I got the book out also. If it's not the fuser then they say DC Controller or power supply. Kind of a guess at this point.

                      And yes there is no 50.49 code. 50 . X Up to 7 items . But not 49. anyway you might want to call Parts Now or Liberty tech support???
