the problem is very illusive and i can not seem to find the specific problem.
we had a laptop with windows xp that worked with this printer just fine.
we replaced that laptop with a new dell laptop and windows 7 32bit.
i've installed the drivers from HP site for this printer, it installed fine, but i have some weird problems.
when i try to print an Excel sheet that i copied from a different location it just send it to the printer queue then disappear but
nothing comes out of the printer.
if i open a new Excel file fill some cells with letters and print, its ok.
if i print the printers test page, its ok.
now, i tried switching to a different user and it printed the same files that wouldn't print earlier.
the user that worked was administrator. so i set the previous user that had the problems as administrator, but that didn't do the trick.
i'm really confused and i can't seem to put my finger on the problem.
so just to sum things up, what can cause a printer to print selective files
and when i try to print it goes to the printer queue, says its printing, the page disappears, but actually nothing happens.
