hp 2727 mfp

hi all
have an hp 2727 mfp with "scanner error #5"
it had a replacement scanner for this problem a couple of weeks a go but its come back again.
hp tech suggested formattter, which i fitted today but it still comes up with same error.
cant clear it, tried both nvram resets to no availe......
thinking of another scanner ????
problem did get fixed when last sanner was fitted.....for two weeks.
any advice please ?

Yes, replace the scanner again if you wanna go that route; What I would do if it was under warranty still, is get another exchange printer;
Thinking power supply may be taking out the scanner pwb. If so youll install another one and it will blow again. Got to get aggresive with hp also and theyll do it.
