On an HP-C5580 photo smart ink jet printer. Walked into the customers office and saw this condition, no paper jammed, thought maybe paper just didn't feed into the machine, cleaned all feed rollers, test ran photo's and copies test ok. The next day cust says they didn't attempt to run any copies, mach just sat there and went into all lights flashing mode again on its own.....thoughts?

It kind of sounds a little like voltage surges or something made the machine attain system blotto. If you unplug that machine and then plug it back in and the machine works, a line conditioner or at least even a surge suppressor might be indicated. -
