Hello, I have a customer telling me once the machine goes into power save it won't return and they have to turn the machine off and then on to get it back to normal. I know you can turn the power save feature off but would this be a sign of a failing power supply? I'm am trying to save myself an extra trip and will just bring a new power supply if this is the case. Thanks in advance for help.

This is a known formatter issue. Replace it because it is hanging in power save and will eventually hang during power up. Or you can ask Rob to tell you oven baking instructions. Might work for a while.Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!". -

Take the battery off of the formatter. put a cookie sheet in the oven and preheat to 350 degrees f.
Bake the formatter for 8 mins, remove and let cool to the touch.
Reattach the battery and reinstall.
If it works you saved the cost of a formatter, if not you lose an hour of labor.
Good luck

Well heck you might as well put some cookie dough in the oven also while you're at it. LOl. I have did the baking trick and it works 4 out of 5 times. Worth a try. If not then it's time to replace the formater. Or the machine? I have a good formater for that machine if you need one.Comment
