[Error Code] HP 5025 - what to do next?

    Good afternoon everybody...

I have an HP 5025 that is printing out blank pages... both copies and prints, sky shot and engine test both blank. The machine is about six years old, at first i thought the problem was the laser unit, then the formatter board. turns out it was neither of these things.

    What we have tried:

    - tested multiple cartridges
    - installed full maintenance kit (ADF, transfer roller, fixing unit)
    - replaced the laser unit
    - replaced the formatter board

Still nothing. Blank pages all of the time.

    any suggestions?

Here is what the event log looks like:

Couldn't find any information on these event codes in the service manual.

This might be silly, but it kind of sounds like there is a a flaw in the high voltage connections for the charge or transfer. Maybe check them again?
Also, make sure the polygon mirror in the laser unit is clean and working. Lack of laser = blank prints from any source.
Hope that helps, and sorry if it doesn't.

these errors are memory supply errors try changing the toner and see what happens. If your not getting a good read from the crum on the toner cartridge then these errors will appear.

Had similar problem with a HP 4000. The shutter of the print engine laser unit lifts (move away from the laser unit) when this cover was shut. The plastic (part of the cover) that did the job was broken. There should a shutter for the print engine laser unit for the M5025 (just above the cartridge). See if this shutter is moving when closing the cartridge cover...or move it away and tape it to see if you get any prints.

I agree with Iowatech, High voltage connections to the toner cartridge. Have seen them bent or broken. With those errors your reader may be broken. (2 Connections to chip) or bad toners (Refurbs)
Laser scanner unit may be blocked or non operational. Make sure when you test it that the cover is on covering the scanner. I have had happen it may have a safty that prevents the laser from working, just a thought...Dont work on this one much, Good Luck!
