    HP CLJ 3800

Makes a groaning grinding type noise when its initializing and calibrating. If I cheat the front door and pull the transfer belt away from the toners a little the noise stops. I replaced the belt probably 20k prints ago for another issue. I can't see anything physically wrong with it and it doesn't make the noise when turning it manually. I am going to try another belt but would like any suggestions on what else if anything it could be.

Check where the transfer belt drive gears meet with the drive gears on the machine there is something wrong there.

Is it an abnormal noise? Initializing and calibrating is noisier than regular operation.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".
