    hp color laserjet CM 6030 error" 30.01.47, scanner failure" displays on the screen

    this error comes up on this printer ,can anyone help me out on what to do to get the printer working again.This is my first time working on this printer.Any hint will be appreciated.Tanx.

      My Service Guide goes to 30.01.46 No 47 Basically check connections, sensors then board

      30.01.46 Scanner failure
      The CPB enumeration failed.
      1. Turn the product off and then on.
      2. Check the PCI cable at the scanner and formatter.
      3. Check the SCB connections.
      4. Replace the CPB.

              My recommendation is to get a manual for this machine. They are not like other HP machines.
              Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".

                          tanx akk I have been able to rectify the fault,I had tp remove and reconnect the pci harness on the scanner and formatter.Tanx it worked.

                              thanks,After rectifying this fault I suddenly discovered that the scan,email and fax icons on the display panel have disappeared,Anyone with any useful hint.Please bail out!

                                  Any chance the hard drive isn't hooked up correctly, or maybe it is kaputt?

                                      I think you will find you will need to re-enter in the scan settings and the fax settings back in the machine, easiest way is through the web interface. hopefully thats all it is for you.
