    HP LJ P3005X

Need some expert advice. Prior to seeing the machine, I was told it displayed MEM TEST FAILURE REPLACE DIMM. Upon arrival the display only showed 80MB and was stuck there. Powered off/on and no change. Removed and reinserted the 16MB. Still no change. Took machine to the shop and powered up and it came ready. Printed a config page. Shortly there after I got a 49.FF07. Powered off and on. Got a blank screen. Unplugged AC power and reconnected AC power. Turned on and it is stuck at 80MB on screen. Removed 16MB and machine came ready. Ran engine test page. Its now stuck at 64MB on the display. This printer is not connected. I was told it is the formatter board. Another thing I noticed is one of the 2 latches for the 16MB is broken off. Does anyone have any input on this?

When it is stuck showing 64MB, I can run an engine test page.
