    HP CM4730 Touch Screen Problem

    I have an HP CM4730 mfp Printer for service.The control panel touch screen for Copy,Scan and Fax does not function when you touch it.The Machine does go to ready but goes into code 49.4C06 Need help Please!!

    49.xxxx Is a comunication problem from computer to printer.
    Disconect net work/usb and reboot then troubleshoot display problem.

      Sounds like a fax board failure.
      (49 Errors can be anything software related, Hp gives little info on which software it will be.. but as a rule, it's process of elimination starting by removing network connections, clearing bad print jobs, and so on)

          Did you remove the formatter recently? If so, it may just need to be reseated. I had one a customer replaced (HP believes this is an end user replaceable item). The board is secured with clips. Customer did not lock it in place. It gave a 49 error, but I dont remember the other part of the code. Worth a try. Costs you 0.
