The Problem: HP LJ P4015tn will not print even internally generated prints like the configuration page as long as the duplex unit is installed. If I remove the duplexer and cycle the power on the machine it will print fine, but as soon as the duplex unit is reinstalled it locks up and will not print anything. I'm getting no codes on the display and if I send a print job to it or try to print a configuration page the data LED will blink acknowledging that it has received a print command, but nothing ever prints as long as the duplexer is installed. Looking in the service manual I saw that the P4015n and the P4015tn do not come with the duplex unit, only the P4015x comes with a duplex unit. Another tech who looked at this machine before I was sent out, told me that he was having the same problem and he updated the firmware on it, but says he did it wrong. He says that he was supposed to have removed all the options before loading the firmware but he forgot. So I went out removed the duplexer and reloaded the firmware, but still getting the same problem. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
