HP CP2025 code 49

This one came in this AM. Svc manual says for code 49 to unplug for 30 sec. & plug back into wall, not into a surge protector. Code comes right back can anyone confirm this might be a power supply issue?

Clear the print queue and restart the machine. Try updating firmware and driver. Try and see if it works on another power point. Try on your laptop. If none of that works it is most likely a busted formatter board.

Thanks, but can't get it to recover,even w/ net cord unplugged. Don't understand why svc manual doesn't provide more detail on cause.

You have a busted formatter. Hp service manuals have progressively gotten worse over the last 5 years or so.

update your firmware if it does not work the formatter board might be bad
