HP Color LJ CP1525 Greys are golden

    Hello guys,

I recently serviced this HP LJ CP1525 and changed yellow OEM cart.
problem was misalignment of colors, after installing the Y cart the machine calibrated itself and
    everything worked out OK.

3 weeks after that customer calls to say the machine is malfunctioning "again",
the problem is the grey logo of his letterhead paper comes out in a golden shadow

I observe the carts life and the only low is the magenta with 10% left.
I tell the customer he has to buy a new M cart but he insists he has worked in the past
with other 10% or lower Magentas and this problem didn't arise,

I'm suspicious of the M catridge since it looks as if had been remanufactured.

    Any ideas?, thanks !!

This machines toner crtg connections are notorious for not reliably connecting on all points all the time.
It could be a simple take out all the toners, put them back in, run the calibration and or registration program.
or just one of the crtgs is not connecting well and that crtg has to be replaced.
If 1 crtg doesn't print out its calibration/registration patch correctly it will throw off the other colors too, so
it's sometimes hard to tell which color is the problem crtg. Replace them one at a time, to hit the problem crtg.
If it is directly just a crtg not printing out enough toner to get you the correct color mix, this one sounds like
not enough cyan is mixing in to get your grey.
