Need part number of end fence tray 4 HP 9040

    [Misc] Need part number of end fence tray 4 HP 9040

    Can anyone tell me the part number for the end fence in tray four in a HP 9040. The manual I downloaded does not show it. The part on the floor has the tabs broken that hold it in the bottom of the tray. Thanks.

      That part is not avaliable separate as to the parts manual. you have to purchase the entire tray.
      time for expoxy and your inventive mind or look for a use one in your area.

          Thanks. I thought about epoxy. It is a billible call and I was not sure if I should do that. Do you have any idea about the grey (extension/lever) on the side? It looks like it goes behind a white lever for size. I am not sure if it just sits behind it or attaches to it?

              I'll check that for you when i go the the shop in the morning. don't work too often on these anymore. I have disassemble this unit once as the paper size was not proper and it took a bit of time to figure out the proper way of reassembly . take photos if you are going to disassemble.

                  Thanks. I could not get back here for a while. I sent them an estimate for the entire tray. Supposed to hear back when someone gets back from vacation. If that piece has to be in the correct position I could run into trouble if I glued it down. We don't sell the HP's. No one around this small town works on them so I get a lot of calls. I have no clue on most calls but Google helps a lot of the times. I appreciate your help. I assume the printer justs lifts off the tray and sets down on a new one.
