Hp p3005 locked out

Hi
I have been asked to repair this printer in the display " DOWNLOAD FILE NOW SEND RFU UPGRADE" cannot get into menu it is locked out.
Can anyone tell my how to do a RAM clear ? Or is there another way to clear this problem.

Sounds like they managed to wipeout the firmware...

download the latest version from Hp.com (under the drivers section "other/bios") and send it to the printer..

there a couple methods to do this, be sure to review the readme that will be in the file with the firmware.

I've found sending it via lpt port to be the most reliable in personal experiance.

These models have formatter issues. I lost count on how many bad formatters I've replaced on these models.

I have been having a rash of these and the non network formatters all have been hosed. The network ones can be put in, but there is no I/O panel for them. I use Web Jetadmin to upload the firmware and the embedded web server page to send it to the printer.
