    CM6049 locked

    Hi all,

we just received a HP LJ cm6049f. When it's being started up it's asking for Group Code. It does not allow any other action like entering service mode. Only the Group Code you can enter.
Unfortunatelly we got no information with the copier at all (no codes, pins, etc.)
We also cannot get in contact with the previous owner.
The question is is there any kind of reset to get around it? I think firmware upgrade is not a solution as settings will remain the same.

Any _real_ help greatly appreciated. (Please do not rob my time with "contant your local HP service" bullshit. I have to sort this out. Thanks)

If nvram intialize does not work you may have to contact you know who, The only thing that is on hp tech support site is about setting up printer security thru webjet admin and Group pin codes, didn't see anything on how to reset if you forget pin code.

    NVRAM initialization
    1. Turn the product off and then on.
    2. When the memory count appears on the control-panel display, press and hold 3 until all three LEDs
flash once and then stay on. This might take up to 20 seconds.
    3. Press and release 9, and then press and release Start.
    4. Press and release 6.
