    Lexmark X646e - ADF

I have a question about ADF feed assembly part no. 40X0453. Does the feed belt (talking about new assembly) have any texture? The device, in my case, has trouble with feeding documents and the belt is "bald". When cleaned everything works fine for a moment but then again it starts jamming. I'm asking this question because I hardly ever repair Lexmark printers and haven't seen those assemblies before.

I also would like to ask if I really need to buy the entire assembly if only the belt is worn out? It's quite expensive in my opinion.

In your browser type in "lexmark parts store "

go to the website and type in your part number. They have it listed for 82 dollars.
this is the pickup feed assy, as what i can see for he description of that part number.

I found a cheaper, much cheapet solution. It appears that Ricoh and Lexmark share the same feed belt. Part no. A806-1295 works like a charm. You can buy a genuine part for ~12$ or import a set of 10 for 25$.

Anyway thank you all for your help.
