Lexmark C925 - control panel blank

Customer reports that he can hear the fan going, but the printer control panel does not come on and no lights.

Is this just the control panel, or am I going to be chasing boards spending hundreds of dollars to find the problem?

From memory if Lexmark machines detect a problem with th operator panel it will beep 5 times at boot up. If it is not doing this could be a board issue.
