Hi all, i've got an issue with a CS820 which was working absolutely perfectly before updating the firmware to the latest version. Previously it was on a 2016 version so very outdated.
The printer took the update via the web interface and rebooted and did all the usual stuff, but got stuck on a section saying something regarding MBR, it was on this overnight so had no option but to reboot it manually.
Now the printer boots, and all the touch interface works perfect, but it won't print, not even it's built in reports/forms - I eventually get an error saying service software engine failure or words to that effect.
The firmware version still shows in the web interface as the old 2016 version, and if I try to do the latest firmware again, it gets so far and errors with "invalid version". If I try to flash the firmware it currently has or ones just a few releases later, I get a "downgrade not possible" type error despite it not needing to downgrade.
It appears its in a mess, I've read online that you can use a Lenovo service restore tool but it needs a login.
If anyone can help i'm willing to pay a fee to anyone who can get me a file that will work!
Many thanks in advance
Jeff.
