[Electrical] Lexmark CX522 LCD Display

hello to all,

I am having an issue with the CX522 LCD Display. The lady that uses the printer says since the 1st day she ever had it she has not been able to use it very little if any at all. When I got a chance to look at it the printer looked as though it was in a power save mode and at that time the LCD screen was black. I proceeded to press the power button again that was indicating it was on a stand by and nothing would happen at all with the whole entire printer. almost as if it had froze up or something. Next I unplugged the Printer for 30 seconds or so. But to no avail, although the printer itself went through a small start up cycle that lasted all but 5 seconds and the LCD came on the display but was blank and useless and cant do any supply checks or configurations from the display. Any suggestions?????????? Could it be a power board or supply issue? Please help as I'm at my wits end.

I would check your plugs on both ends check for seating or damage to the flat ribbon cable. Order a display if you have too, but I would change the ribbon cable with the repair.
If you have a used unit or one not placed in service you can swap to be sure. No easy way to troubleshoot this. Those plugs that lock cables can get damaged and also that ribbon cable gets hurt if pulled out and back in a lot at the ends.
When you have no display its hard to judge what the unit is doing.
