    reboxed XM7355 usb issues

I'm working on a sharp B557 which is a re-boxed XM7355 that is having a usb issues. what's happening is when a usb is inserted it reads the usb, then you remove and reinsert it it no longer reads the usb. it takes a reboot to get the usb to be read again. sharp tech support has had us change the op panel and the control pwb. I'm starting to get the idea that sharp tech support doesn't know how to fix it as they are probably playing phone tag with Lexmark tech support. has anyone encountered such an issue and know a fix?

we have tried that, doesn't work. multiple drives from various brands used to new and formatted and un formatted the machine isn't showing the usb is in the port. it will recognize it once in a while then it just stops. firmware is updated.

Is the USB drive 3.0? I think the color inside the port will be blue. Prior to 3.0 it was black.

Anyhow, we had issues with 3.0 drives in Lexmarks but most of them were older engines. It is worth a try if you haven't tried a non-3.0 drive.
