scan to pc on a Lexmark xs658 problem

the client...wants to scan 12 or more pages to her PC..but it runs out of memory at 10 approx. is there a internal setting to limit scan page numbers that can be un-limited so she can scan as much as possible or does it need a memory upgrade.....
    thanks

if this was an easy thing to do then everybody would be doing it! But it isn't and they are not!!

Using the ScanBack to PC application, you should not be limited to 10-12 pages. You can use the ScanBack application, setup scan profiles to scan PDF, black and white, color, different DPI (Dots Per Inch) resolution scan settings, etc. If you are using the internal web server to do this, I would get away from doing that. The X658 should come with plenty of memory to accomplish this. I have many customers scanning hundreds of pages through with Scan to Network (free embedded solutions framework [eSF] from Lexmark's website). If you are scanning large PDFs, JPEGs, TIFFs, then buy some memory through crucial.com for your printer. Not sure why the X658 is not listed, but there must be some kind of exclusive agreement between Lexmark and crucial not to carry it. Another site is Kingston.com. It should only cost $19-59 to go to the maximum.

For instructions on how to setup ScanBack from Lexmark, check out our detailed instructions at Colorado Copier Solutions (720) 881-1547 or sales@coloradocopiersolutions.com, click on Manuals, then ScanBack and check out the Scan to Network Folder option.

Now that is a reply! Thankyou very much for the info...I have forwarded this to Lexmark Canada so that the trainers as they are called up here can learn how this works and then be able to help the dealers when the dealers need some help Thankyou again!
