    [Misc] How to reset the password?

    Hi friednds,

    i bought a lexmark x646e, its nothing had problem right now but its ask the password. i do machine reset also but still its ask how i reset the password anyone of you knows kindly help me please...................................

      turn off the copier, hold down the 2 and 6 button and power on, keep holding the buttons down till u see the green progress bar, this will put u in config mode and u should see somthing in there to reset the password, if not in there try holdin down 3 and 6 while power on ( Diagnostics mode)

        i already try that but its not cleared

          With power off, hold down 2 and 6 and power on while holding 2 and 6 until the green progress bar is half full. Once in service mode, look for some thing called "reset base" or something similar. I think there are also 2 other type of resets in that same menu.
          Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!
