[Error Code] Lemark X544 w/ E706 code

Got invited to work on the machine they bought instead of a Ricoh, again.

The lexmark X544 mfp fails to some fax destinations & gives a E706 error. I could not find this code any place on the internet. Client does not even have an owners manual. Took a guess @ VOIP recieving unit & turned off ECM & slowed the baud down to no avail.

I hate charging our hourly rate for research like this, such is the age of technology.

Any assist is appreciated.

I would check the phone line, the manual says that some frames were droppped during transmission. The x544 is an inexpensive product, the only Ricoh equivalent are their nightmarish re-branded Samsung desktop products.
