    T652N non-functional after firmware update

Hi there...It's my first time in the Lexmark forum. It looks very similar to the others in here though...
First of all, I work on very few printer these days, but have replaced the odd fuser etc, on Lexmarks.

I had a call from an IT guy I know, that says one of his customers updated the firmware on their T652n, and now the only light on is the power light, and it's non responsive over the network or via USB.
I hate third party service calls myself, but it's too far for me to go in blindly (if I go at all).
I'm assuming they either used the wrong firmware, or it somehow got corrupted (??)
They've apparently been told by Lexmark (over the phone) that they need to replace the main board.

Is there any way that I can possibly help them recover it? Or are they S.O.L?

    Thanks a bunch!

      Thanks.
Like I said, I'm getting this info through the grapevine, so I have no idea.
Although, I see that there are firmware updates for end-users to download and install on the Lexmark website, so I assume that someone in the office was trying to be a hero.
