LEXMARK X656DE blank screen and beeping

Hi

I have a Lexmark X656DE that when you switch on the screen will stay blank/black and it will beep 3 times then stop then beep 3 times again then stop and it will continue the sequence of beeping, if you tap the screen or press any button then the screen will lit up abit (change from black screen to gray) i cannot hear any motors running, see any lights flashing or even hear the machine trying to boot up at all.

Any help would be appreciated

You might try swapping the touchscreen assembly, I had something similar to this a while back and that was the final resolution to the problem that time. Then again. I could lay the back of my hand on the display area before the problem was resolved and feel unusual warmth even though the display appeared to be off, so if you haven't seen that take this with a grain of salt.

i have seen this once on a 646? or like. lightning hit it and cooked the modem and sys card
