redid cabling. Scanner light is not illuminating at power on. What can be done about this?

something isnt plugged in or plugged in all of the way,, check your ribbon cables and make sure that the foil contacts on them arent peeled back or missing, if the are u can get a pair of sharp scissors and trim back slightly to wear the contacts are still good (or replace the ribbon cable)
