X654de has error 842 and other info below

Customer called about an hour ago. She said her Lexmark X654De is giving the message:

842 Service Scanner failure

820 SCU Read Proc 0000-034A DOAPPS-SCANMGRQ-SCANME

I see the 842 in the manual but not other info. The manual refers to the ADF board(card) but is this just a dirty scanner glass or something like that. I wanted to get more info before going there. I checked previous posts but nothing related. Your help is greatly appreciated. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

Try lubing the scanner rails.

I am sorry. I meant to post result of call. It turned out to be nothing more than adf tires that needed a good cleaning. Thanks for the response and info Frank
