Ricoh mp aficio 2000 no error code not printing

Hi all,
I need your help on this printer, it was fine a couple of weeks ago, but just recently has this problem. Does not display error code but does not print or scan but only photocopy. Also, the printer, scanner and copier light indicators are all off. All fuses are in great shape. Machine starts normally but these functions ( printing and scanning) are seemed disabled.

what have you done to try to rectify the problem?

disconnect the net cable.. reboot machine do you get any light on NIC card?

reconnect after power down ... power up

print internal config page post in pdf format if possible.

you give little info for to help you so.....

Thanks Phil, when I connect NIC cable it blinks, but then this printer is standalone. Am the only user and I don't use it as a network printer. I have tried a lot of troubleshooting options, check the fans, motors. Tried setting to factory default, but Indicators are all off. I also tried contacting a technician but they seem unfamiliar with ricoh printers. Could it be related to circuit boards so I could order for a replacement?

DO print and scan show in User Tools and/or SP main menu?

whoops how did you reset to factory settings?

did you re-input the settings after factory mode?

are you formally trained on any machine?

do you have the service manual?

WHY do you folks ALWAYS go for a board first?

was the tech a trained RICOH tech?

follow the K.I.S.S. system... Keep It Simple Stupid .... meaning DO NOT go looking to a board problem it could be as simple as BAD power or firmware.

Pressing * and # to restart the machine not really factory reset.
The manual says if the machine is offline, the offline key should be pressed even at that, it does not come up.

so why did you tell me that you did 'factory reset'?

you say you started in 2005 .. but profile says 0-2yrs in industry

you say you preformed factory reset... then not really

wind turbines don't count as in 'our insudtry'

Phil apologies for the mix up, just needed a quick fix for my equipment not minding the questionnaires. Am just new here. Technicians Around seemed unfamiliar with Ricoh multipurpose product. This is a very important equipment for my productivity. I know you could help please. Just trying to get information to get it fixed.

This is a very important equipment for my productivity. I know you could help please. Just trying to get information to get it fixed.

HAVE YOU FOLLOWED SUGGESTIONS THAT OTHER TECHS HAVE GIVEN?

Like I said, I tried hiring a new one certified technician but they seemed u familiar with the problem or equipment.

Does this mean that you are connected by a USB cable? If so have you tried another cable or a different USB port on the computer? What driver are you using. If it is PCL5 you may have been done in by a recent Windows update.

If you cannot or will not answer the questions that we ask, then there is no way that any of us can help you. Without the answers to those questions there s no way we can know what the problem is because we are not standing in front of the machine.

Thanks Phil for your effort, really appreciate. I have 4 different USB cables and the pc has 3 ports. You can hear the sound of the connection to the pc but as long as the copier, printer, and scanner indicators are all off, no printing or scanning can take place.
