Bought Fiery x12

I'm here because I'm searching for a CD for the x12. mine hangs forever at 'loading' and I lack the original CD to boot it from. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I just shut it down wrong and now it won't restart.

If anyone has the cd or knows where I can get one. I'd be grateful.

Is there any technology or improvements in Fiery EX12 for Docucolor Series.
Any new Desktop made like Creo ? having Pentium 4 CPU.
Can't we make our own Computer with attaching OLD Printer Cards and I/O Devices to improve the speed of Fiery X2, X12 or EX12, specially for Docucolor 1250.

Hi Phil,

I've put a monitor on this and it looks like it boots into NT ok and i can tell it's version 2.o. It goes through all the hardware checks but just hangs at loading afterwords and no amount of time finished the loading.
i tried powering down and unplugging for awhile but to no avail.

What would you want to burn me copies of those CDs and send them to me?

I have found the last software for XP12 (it is ver1.1 SP2), at last. For a little fee, of corse, but .....

With Command Workstation v4, ColorWise v3 and include all software updates and patchs.
Support Extended Print Area, cos v1.1 doesn't have support for 440 mm image lenght.

Still tryng to get it to boot up all the way.

I'm not having any luck with the 1.5 cds someone was kind enough to burn for me. Restore didn't work and so I tried to reload from the discs but the screen just stays blank and it never reads the disc. Wish I had an original set of 2.0 discs to try.

I don't think it would be a hardware problem as I can hear a hard drive working and the machine cycles through all its tasks on the screen. It just stops at loading and stays like that for days and never changes. I must be doing something wrong.

Is there anything that will enable me to use this Doc 12 as a printer from my Mac that will just work? Never had these kinds of (or any) computer problems before.

X12 is back

It works now, the software is reloaded and all setting are the defaults. I need to configure it but don't know how. I've given up on Xerox, they aren't much help. They did reload the software before we parted company but I'm on my own now. All the prints of PDFs come out as red and black duotones Those printed from Indesign mostly work but they are too dark. I could play with the settings of each individual pic in Photoshop to make it work but that's time-consuming. I'd rather just adjust the fiery but have no windoze box nor do I want one. I'm wondering if virtual PC would do it . Alternatively I could get an Intel Mac that dual boots.

Any advice?

Hi, for that kind of problem I recommend clear calibraton at panel, then calibrate again on the differents papers stock. Install the command work station and run colorwise and calibrate using the available densitometer or DC12 doc. glass.
