This is a discontinued relabeled Toshiba e477s copier. You need to acquire a Toshiba original SED-HDD plus firmware for the copier to work. No off the shelf HDD will work.

I do not know if Toshiba firmware will work in a Okidata original copier. Okidata has abandoned the North American marketplace. Toshiba original supplies will not work in this copier.

You made a bad choice purchasing this copier at any price.

... 100% it will not accept a "normal" HDD. Must be a Toshiba SED-HDD.
