Thank you for the generous offer. Would you have a line on the manuals for the WC7830?
I have one with a blank display and all the panel lights are on. It does not respond to anything
I've done so far.

Rat, The connector on the UI is very touchy. The other end of the cable is the same. The standard connect - disconnect procedure may work, but I also used some of that goop the Parts Drop sells for connectors. Seems ok now, but the connection doesn't seem to be the most positive.

I found the manual I needed on service-manuals.com. In a PDF file.
I will have to look up the U1 reference you spoke of before I can re-seat it. Sometimes I will use CRC-226 on the
connectors after some contact cleaner. But very sparingly.

Just an update: The "Goop" I used for the UI seems to have worked - no problems since. Stabilant 22 from the Parts drop.
