    My manual philosophy and opinion

    Hello all,

Just my 2 cents on the sharing of manuals. I personally don't have a problem giving people a copy of a manual. I do have a problem with people asking for a manual and being asked to buy one...at least on this forum.

I believe this forum is for the sharing of information between technicians. It's not economical to buy a manual for every potential machine or code one may need. Given the cost of these machines people should have a right to perform functions and order parts if they desire...just like a car.

But...being a tech I believe in self preservation. If another tech wants a manual, I lose no money and may get the favor in return. If an end user wants a manual they run the risk of f*cking something up and that means more money to the tech...hopefully. Actually our website moderators shouldn't be allowing non-techs to join the forum since it's a copier technician forum.

Ending on that note, I have NEC, Konica Minolta, and Kyocera Mita manuals...not all though. Please be a tech and email if you need one kingpd@kingofficesolutions.com

That's whats great about this country. You can think what you want. And you already know what people say about opinions.
