A manual is a tool, do you get your tools for free?
I'm sure this is a long standing argument on this site. However, when I purchase a piece of equipment that comes with a tool, I don't expect the merchant to take the tool out of the box and say I have to pay extra if I want the tool. In my opinion, that tool is mine already.
Sorry to interject, that is just something that has always bothered me.
Sorry, maybe I was talking a little out of school about copiers. However, that was one of my big selling points on a new phone system I just purchased. I wanted the software and service manual so I could do the work myself. The company was very nice to oblige.
I have also been very frustrated with the service I am recieving on my estudio550. The print controller will not start and it has been down for a week. The company we bought it from refuses to make come get us fixed, even though they are oinly 15 minutes away. I just dont understand it.
Nope, no more to it. This is the 5th time in about a month and a half that our controller has become corrupted. Each time, the tech has to come and reload the software to get it going. Abotu a week later, the same thing occurs.
We have a maintenance contract that we pay monthly and the contract says repairs will be made within 24 hours or a loaner will be given. We have not recieved a loaner and I just found out that the only tech that can do this was on vacation last week.
