    General Service Manual Question

Are there significant differences in the quality of service manuals, particularly in the area of troubleshooting, or are most of the commonly available manuals pretty much the same. I have purchased a manual on line that was not terribly expensive, but am wondering if I would make my job easier by spending a bit more money.

Take it from one who knows. All manuals are not created equal. Generally when I get a manual, I edit out the blank pages, add bookmarks and make it searchable. All time consuming tasks. Some manuals have more information than others. Generally HP puts out a good manual, but one I recently received was total crap and I didn't put it up on my sites. I imagine HP will get complaints about it. Most manuals come with the parts manual as a separate file. When I have the parts manual, I combine it with the service manual to make it easier for my customer's to find what their looking for. Other manual dealers sell the parts manual as a separate file. I believe my prices are fair and my customer support is 2nd to none.

      Manuals

Paul is right, Canon Ricoh ect manuals have evoved over time and some are better and some are worse. Copier training classes seem to be more about how to use the manual than how to fix the machine. Paul has a very good product at a VERY fair price considering a full set of hard copy manual for any giver Canon can set you back better than a C note.
Like the United States Postal Service It's a miracle it works!

What you actually looking for. A manual to learn or a manual for any particual equipment. If you need something basic, let me know, I have a good one, but is huge. It cover everything from copiers to any mfp and troubleshooting ...It's an original from a manufacturer..

Actually, I bought a manual from "JustManuals" and it did the job well. The machine seems to be working fine now, and the manual I bought was very complete, and really had a ton of information in it. Having said that, and since I am very new to this, the manual that you describe might be just the ticket for me in the long run, and thank you for offering it. How could I get in touch with you? Many thanks!!!!
