So the long story short here is that I basically pulled a TASKalfa 3551ci apart as far as I could. I wasn't troubleshooting anything it was just for the sake of experience since I'm pretty new to the field and to give it a thorough cleaning since it is a used machine we intend to sell or contract out. Unfortunately I was maybe not as thorough as I could have been in documenting the process and organizing in a way that I could track every move I made.
This has led to a small number of pieces that didn't make it back into the machine upon reassembly. These are 3x black screws (the ones that mostly come out of the left hand side panel) and one plastic bracket that only appears to have one tab to hold it in place. I'm not naive enough to think that there's any chance you will be able to guess at the three extra screws but I have some hope that I might get lucky with the bracket... And maybe that that will get me close to the screw locations. I had the thing pulled almost entirely apart so in theory this bracket might go almost anywhere but if I had to guess it's going to be in either the right or left side rather than in the rear or truly internal. This is mostly based on the fact that those are where I spent most of my time.
This machine also has the small finisher (DF-770(D)) and a document processor (DP-772) and while I'm fairly confident that's not where it came from I'm not going to rule it out entirely. I don't think these are mission critical since the machine appears to fully functional with them sitting on a nearby desk but best practice is probably to put them back where they came from so I'm not quite ready to give up on them just yet.
I couldn't get the images I took to upload here properly so I made a free Flickr account to link to images of the bracket.
Any help at all is greatly appreciated and if there is any other information I could provide to help the process just let me know (including if this should be in the Kyocera forum rather than parts), although I do ask that you try to over-explain your questions as much as possible since I am still finding my sea legs in this field.
