    Ricoh/NRG DSM615 B622 5670 (sd card)

    Hello,

A firend just bought a used DSM615 and I've been struggling trying to install print drivers on his workstations until I realised the machine is missing the SD card that *normaly* came with the B622 module...

If I'm right this SD card contains the print & scan firmwares ? in SP mode I checked the firmwares, and none are present for scan and print however the scan and print counters are ~ 15k and 30k pages each, meaning the unit has already been used as scanner and printer (or am I wrong ?)

After several search in google/ebay I was unable to find a SD card (ref B622 5670) for sale.

Any one have one for sale ? (or know where to by from ?)

Otherwise is there any package that could be downloaded and transferred to a standard SD card?

Also would the unit also need another firmware (I understood from the service manual there is a board called BICU that is updated via a pcmcia/flash card) ? copy and fax function works properly.

    Thanks.

You need the Printer/Scanner Unit to be able to print. It's not just the SD-card, but also the 128 Mb memory Expansion, and the USB PCB.
Can be hard to find, because this is a pretty old model.

Ricoh firmware consists of multiple files. For each part of the machine there is a separate firmware file. You don't need firmware just to to able to print.

In fact he got all this with the unit: the *almost* complete B622 module (incl. USB card and 128MB module), except the sd card....
