    Wavy Edge C5501

Our C5501 has developed a strange kink/wave on the trail edge of a printed sheet. This is a 1200 sheet SRA3 100gsm job - paper fresh from packet.

It never used to do it and our engineer initially blamed the paper - so we changed papers. The problem didn't go away. It also seems to get worse as the run progresses.
I tried a short run with finisher detached and it seemed to be OK (I'll do a fuller test when I get a chance). The de-curl rollers were changed a little whoile ago so he's ruled that out.

Does anyone have any suggestions? With the finisher door open the punch unit (not being used for this) seems to rock quite a lot but I don't know if that's normal. Any ideas appreciated as I'll be getting them back in shortly.

    Thanks

    Michael

Does it do it when you turn the paper around? (face down/up)

Yes it does it either way. Sometimes it just seems to curl but other times it's almost like a fold.

That looks like wear on the fuser exit guide. I can't remember it's correct name but it's the sprung loaded guide by the lower roller on the exit side of the fuser.
I've changed a few of these for this problem....
