Lock out the fax function on a 364e

Can I set up a 364e so that a pin or a password has to be entered in order to fax? I've got a library with two e's and they want staff to be the only people that can fax, they bill the customer for faxing at the cash register.

I looked through all the menus and couldn't find anything, thanks in advance.

Is there a way to set up a user code system on the machine? Where they have to put in a code to use it? If you can do that you might be able to restrict needing a code to only fax.

They need it to be stupid simple for users to make copies, so entering a user code to copy wouldn't work unless its only for the fax.

I work on Ricohs so this may be different, but see if you can find a way that the code is only required to fax, not to copy.

Restricting Functions Available to Public Users

I don't know if it'll work with isolating the fax, basically "public user" has access to whatever you decide, they just walk up to the m/c and select copying or whatever, if they aren't allowed to use a function, it'll tell them, then if the fax is locked out to them, only those with the access password, will be able to fax or whatever is locked out, it's normally used to stop people from copying colour, but it may do what you want

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. After a little trial and error with settings under Public User I was able to get our showroom machine setup the way I "think" they want it. At least until they change their minds, again. Public user Allow copy but restrict Fax, then setup a User that has fax privilege.
