    Di2510 - Please Wait??

Hello, I am having problems with a Di2510 machine. When it is turned on I get the 'Please Wait' screen, and then nothing? It just stays frozen on that message. I have tried umpteen warm resets on the machine, turning the power on and off - but nothing. Has anyone encountered this before? Am I looking at a PWB-A failure? Any help REALLY welcomed!

    cheers.

The first thing is the flash card on the right side of the scanner. Swap it with another, if that works, rewrite your card. Next swap the card reader and then the MFB 3 that the card reader seats into. You may try unpluging and reseating these boards first. One of these will fix you.

Does the machine run any motors because a really common problem is the toner add gearbox chews up and the machine runs for 5 mins while it tries to add toner.

Ok guys, HELP! I have replaced the toner hopper drive unit and cleared/re-installed the firmware onto the flashcard twice now. Still nothing. Should I purchase a new flashcard? do they get faulty?

Any help muchly appreciated, at a bit of a loss here!

It's a faulty memory or scan chip by the NIC card. Remove one or the other to test.

I have found that this is usually caused by a defected SU-2 or Memory.

Firstly check the connection between the ROM board and the MFB3 board. If that doesn't help (in most cases ot doesn't) then remove the SU-2 or memory and see if the machine starts up and goes to the copy screen.

                    Hope this helps!

Just wanted to say thanks for the help on this issue everyone! I ended up disconnecting the network card and re-seating it and this solved the problem. Weird, but hey, I'm happy. Cheers again.
