Konica C454 and 454e problem

Does anyone knows why if i feed a stack of papers in the top feeder. Some comes out Landscape and it happens on both machines.

is auto rotate on? are all trays in the auto select? are the width sensors in the feeder working properly?
how about the length sensors on the feeder tray?
i would blast them all with an aircan and do a feeder sensor reset then run all 4 auto stop positions calibrations with the a4 black box sheet that comes with the feeder.

Here's some things we've seen so far:

1. Konica Australia issued modified paper length flags for the doc feeders. It appears they didn't have enough weight on the counter balance part of the sensor flag so they never lifted all the way back up and then detected odd orientations of paper sometimes.

2. Have also had burrs on the plastic shafts on those paper length flags from poor plastic molding making the flags stick down and cause issues.

3. We've had the separation roller get worn and it starts multiple feeding and due to the separation not being spaced right, it sometimes detects as A3.

4. The doc feeder control board causing phantom jams. This was because the machine was at the local indoor swimming pool and the moist air/chlorine in the air rusted the board out somewhere. The machine was rusting internally within 12 months of install. Awesome.
